'Slavic Caravan' sets off: First block train launched between Uzbekistan and Belarus

The first direct block train, Slavic Caravan, departed on 30 July from Orsha-Vostochnaya station in Belarus for Chukursay station in Uzbekistan. The service marks the first practical outcome of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Belarus on 9 July 2026.

The train, consisting of the equivalent of 71 railcars, carries timber products, sugar, food products, animal feed and other cargo. During the initial stage, the service is scheduled to operate twice a month.

The new rail connection is expected to increase freight volumes, strengthen transport and logistics cooperation, and further expand trade and economic ties between the two countries.

Comprehensive logistics services along the route will be provided by Uztemiryulkonteyner JSC, ensuring reliable transportation of export and import cargo.
