What Have Archaeologists Found in Ancient Kuva?
A joint archaeological team from Uzbekistan and China has uncovered the remains of a defensive wall and ancient cultural layers at the ancient city of Kuva.

Researchers believe the new discoveries could provide fresh insights into the history of Kuva, one of the oldest cities in the Fergana Valley.
The excavations are taking place at the Kubbo archaeological site. The newly uncovered samples are currently undergoing radiocarbon analysis to determine their age and establish a more accurate timeline for the structures found during the excavation.
The research is being carried out by specialists from Fergana State University and the Luoyang Institute of Archaeology in China.
Since the joint project began, archaeologists have uncovered the remains of a palace complex, city gates, residential quarters, craft workshops and defensive structures at the ancient site of Kuva. The latest discoveries build on earlier findings and contribute to a better understanding of the city's long history.
The excavations are being conducted within the framework of the Fergana–Luoyang Archaeological Research Center, established at Fergana State University. The center brings together researchers from Uzbekistan and China to study the ancient cities of the Silk Road, their history and cultural connections.
Researchers hope this season's discoveries will shed new light on the development of ancient cities in the Fergana Valley, the evolution of their defensive systems and the region's role in trade and cultural exchange between East and West.
