Future Technologies Center: What Will Be Built on a 36-Hectare Site in Nurafshan as Part of a $500 Million Project
The Future Technologies Center will be built in Nurafshan. On July 22, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev officially launched the construction of the project. The complex will occupy a 36-hectare site, with investments estimated at around $500 million. It is being developed next to Cyber University.

What Will Be Included in the Future Technologies Center
The center will house laboratories specializing in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and cryptography. It will also feature an AI data center, engineering laboratories, a testing facility for robotics and autonomous systems, as well as production facilities for secure computers, data transmission equipment, and hardware security tokens.
A separate component of the project will be a technology commercialization platform developed with the support of the Asian Development Bank. Its purpose is to help bring innovative technologies and research outcomes to the market.
Why the Center Is Being Built Next to Cyber University
Cyber University was established in 2025 under the Ministry of Digital Technologies. According to official figures, the university currently has around 1,000 students enrolled. It trains specialists in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, digital forensics, cloud technologies, and other digital disciplines.
Cyber University and the Future Technologies Center are envisioned as parts of a single innovation ecosystem.
