Bishkek Plans to Offer Foreign Tourists Tours of Parliament
Kyrgyzstan’s Jogorku Kenesh plans to organize weekly guided visits for foreign tourists. The initiative was proposed by Parliament Speaker Marlen Mamataliev.
According to the Parliament’s press service, interest among foreign visitors in the work of the Jogorku Kenesh has increased in recent years. The Parliament has received more inquiries from foreigners interested in learning more about its activities.
As part of the planned tour programme, visitors will be able to see the Jogorku Kenesh Museum and the parliamentary chambers. The tours are expected to take place once a week.
A dedicated souvenir corner has also been set up inside the Parliament building, where visitors can purchase products featuring Jogorku Kenesh symbols.
Kyrgyz citizens can visit the Jogorku Kenesh five days a week, during working days.
