Green Corridor opens in Kyrgyzstan: foreigners can leave without fines throughout July
Foreign nationals who have overstayed or otherwise violated migration rules in Kyrgyzstan will have a one-month opportunity to leave the country without facing administrative penalties.
From July 1 to July 31, 2026, the government is introducing a temporary “green corridor” under a decree signed by President Sadyr Japarov. During this period, eligible foreign citizens and stateless persons will be able to regularise their departure without paying fines, provided they follow the official procedure.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, applicants must first visit the local police department where they are staying to obtain a confirmation letter required for an exit visa. They must then submit the visa application themselves through the country's official e-visa portal. Authorities stress that applications filed through intermediaries or unofficial agents will not be accepted.
The initiative also waives the usual visa fee for exit visas issued under the programme.
Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on July 31. Officials urge eligible foreigners not to wait until the final days, as requests submitted after the deadline will not be processed.
