Commemorative Coins to Mark Uzbekistan’s Historic World Cup Qualification
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan will issue commemorative gold and silver coins celebrating the national team's historic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The obverse of the coins features the logo of the Uzbekistan Football Association, a football, and the inscription: “Historic Victory. Uzbekistan Football at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.”
The reverse depicts a white wolf, the symbol of Uzbekistan’s national football team. The image is composed of the silhouettes of 26 players, representing the unity and teamwork behind the country’s historic qualification for the World Cup.
The design also incorporates ornamental patterns inspired by the decorative motifs found on Uzbekistan’s ancient architectural monuments.
The coins are minted from 999.9 fine gold and silver and each weighs 31.1 grams. The issue is limited to 100 gold and 1,000 silver coins.
The commemorative coins will go on sale on June 18 through commercial bank branches across Uzbekistan. Information on pricing and availability will be published on the Central Bank’s official website.
